Project Summary and Feedback

Each year, we make several special offers directly to the churches, with a 75% discount on specific children’s resources, according to available funding.

This project has encouraged and enabled hundreds of churches that are having effective ministry among poor children all over the country, providing discounted Scripture resources for them to distribute and use in their ministry and programs. In the face of the current economic crisis and the people's increasing lack of purchasing power, churches and individuals are overwhelmed with providing for the basic needs of their congregations and people in desperate need.

In a time when the Church of Egypt needs our support more than ever, the Bible Society is determined to provide subsidized Scripture resources. In 2023, we were able to subsidize 300,000 Scripture units this way. These offers are immediately taken advantage of, and the quantities are never enough for such an active and flourishing Church. We are very grateful for the opportunity to serve a Church that loves the Bible.

Valuable illustrated Scripture resources made understandable in Simplified and Colloquial Arabic does much to stimulate and increase Scripture engagement and the building up in faith for the children and their whole family as they enjoy and interact with these beautiful resources. This project is also helpful to increase the connection of these children and their families with the Church.

Mary is a SS teacher for the 3rd and 4th graders in her church.  “As a minister to young children, I am so very grateful for Scripture resources for children. The children can really understand God’s Word, because it is very clear and simplified, especially those in the colloquial language that they use and understand.”

Fabrina said that her mom reads a story to her every night before she sleeps.  “After we read the story about the Nativity, me and my little brother made a play and acted out the story of the Annunciation, and it turned out really nice, and we had so much fun.  I hope that The Bible Society will keep making Bible Story books like this so that we can read in it.”
