Bible Society staff members were in a garbage village to train volunteers who would be teaching in our Post-Literacy program. The village church was opening some new classes there, helping people learn to read using the Bible. While there, another group also came to visit the village from a nearby church.

Among these visitors were 3 teenagers. The young man, about 16 years old, carried with him a particular New Testament that the Bible Society had been distributing to students 3 years ago. The boy proudly showed his well-worn Bible, which had obviously been used a lot. He said that this NT is always with him, and that he really appreciates the different supplements that were added to this Bible.  “I especially like the one about the impossibility of corrupting the Bible. This is a great help in visitation and outreach.”
