Planting God’s Word in Young Hearts Across Egypt

April 2026

Dear friends,

As we look ahead to the coming summer months, we are preparing once again for a busy season of ministry as we serve children across Egypt. Through our Summer Bible Competition program, tens of thousands of children will open the Scriptures for themselves, studying the book of Exodus this year.

Last summer, 120,000 children received the Competition Booklet focused on the Gospel of John and the letters of John. Churches across the country participated, and the results were deeply encouraging. One Church leader shared with us, “Families began reading together… People filled their time with Scripture instead of distractions… It became a bridge back to God.”

In many homes, parents and children sit together around an open Bible, working through the questions, discussing and helping one another understand. In one visit, a priest said that the family was so absorbed in studying their booklet that they barely noticed he had arrived! They were simply focused on the Word of God. This is what we long to see.

Children expressed the impact in their own words: “It helped me look at the Bible in a different way… we really had to work hard to find the answers.”

“I knew about Jesus before, but now I see the verses that prove who He is.”

Even the teenage volunteers correcting the exams were deeply affected. Many said, with surprise, that they themselves were learning for the first time: “I’ve heard the Bible all my life, but I have never really studied it like this… everything is new to me.”

While reaching children, this program is drawing many others into deeper engagement with Scripture. Church leaders, Sunday School teachers and helpers, guide the children, correct their work, and help them prepare for the competition. As one church leader said so clearly: “These competitions are one of the most effective tools in our ministry… They strengthen the church, engage the children, unite families, and bring people back to God.”

An exciting part of this program is the large Bible Quiz events where churches come together for a full day of celebration and Scripture engagement. These regional gatherings include singing, drama, and a lively “quiz show” competition, where children from different churches participate together on the big stage. The events are joyful and interactive, deeply rooted in God’s Word.

· Pray for the preparation and production of this year’s booklet, that it will be clear, engaging, and faithful to Scripture.

· Pray for the church leaders and teachers who will lead the children through this journey.

· Pray for the children, that they truly encounter God through His Word.

· Pray for families, that homes would be filled with Scripture, shared discovery, and application.

· Pray that the Quiz events would be joyful, impactful, and draw even more children into deeper engagement with the Bible.

· Pray for lasting fruit, that these moments of study would shape hearts, build faith, and draw a generation closer to Christ.

Thank God that 120,000 booklets and all the Scripture prizes have been generously funded. The Bible Quiz events remain an ongoing need, and we value your prayers and support to help make these gatherings possible. One event costs about $1,500 and we hope to have 10 events of total cost $15,000, serving up to 20,000 children this year.

We believe that God’s Word does not return empty. What is planted in these young hearts today will bear fruit in ways we may not fully see for years to come.
